GENERAL INTEREST

My various professional and outreach activities, including the publication of Inside Chinese Business, have received considerable attention from the media.  My work over the last five years has been covered or mentioned in newspapers and magazines throughout the US and Greater China, including The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes, US News & World Report, Newsweek, Economic Daily, the People’s Daily (China), the China Times and the Commercial Times (Taiwan), the Asian Wall Street Journal (Hong Kong), the South China Morning Post, and Ming Pao (Hong Kong).  I have also appeared on CNNfn, and a set of interviews conducted with the Central China TV Station was broadcast throughout China.  I hope to be able to contribute, in a small way, my knowledge and perspective to the general interest domain.

Invariably these outreach activities are both challenging and rewarding. They keep me in touch with the business and social issues of the moment and in tune with the trends of the future. At the personal level, these opportunities help me connect to the timely public service provided by the journalism profession exemplified by the contributions of people like Walter Kronkite, whom I’ve admired since my childhood.
