MANAGERS & EXECUTIVES

Over the years I have been very involved in corporate consulting and teaching managers and executives in different parts of the world. These activities have taken the form of open enrollment and customized programs, either organized through the academic institutions with which I’ve been affiliated (Columbia, Wharton, and Darden) or independently conducted by me. My independent consulting and teaching clients include Morgan Stanley and Bristol-Myers Squibb (U.S.); the State Economic and Trade Commission, Kelon Electric Holdings, and the People’s Construction Bank of China (China); the Institute for Information Industry, BenQ, AUO, the Aspire (Acer) Academy, and the Ruentex Group (Taiwan); and the Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization (Hong Kong). I have always enjoyed this work, which has ranged from problem solving to strategy development to sessions on competitive dynamics, global competition, and Chinese business-related topics.

In the past several years, I have delivered speeches to prominent business organizations around the world, including the keynote speech to the World Economic Forum’s China Business Summit 2000 in Beijing. Other executive outreach activities include speeches at Munich Re, Alcoa, AIG American General, FedEx, the USA-China Chamber of Commerce, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.  The topics of these addresses are wide-ranging but center on strategic and cultural concerns for business interactions in a global context.
